New Year, New Me.
January 1st just calls for this to be said by anyone and everyone defining the changes in their lives. Like man others setting goals, my goal is to read more books. Upon graduating college [and even in college], I avoided picking up a book at all costs. The countless sleepless nights cramming International Marketing strategies or Calculus formulas were over. And so was my head in a book.
After learning to manage my first full-time job, I found that I often had time on my hands after-hours. My friends and family would always suggest books I should read and it wasn’t until I was starting to consider pursuing an MBA did consider even reading for ‘fun.’ I started to read the daily newsletter, The Hustle, and was really intrigued by one of their articles titled, “Read These Books Instead of Getting an MBA.” Well, these got me hooked and even to the point of purchasing some of them.
If you have never heard of The Hustle, I would highly recommend it. They are an email newsletter for savvy forward thinkers interested in business, design, and tech. The Hustle finds, explores, and uncovers original content on stories that inspire. And they truly do! If you want to subscribe to their email newsletter, subscribe here.
